Stetho Steps Partnership Network
At Stetho Steps, we believe that meaningful progress in health professions education is best achieved through meaningful interdisciplinary and multisectoral collaboration.
Our Partnership Network brings together academic institutions, healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, student, alumni and professional associations, non-profit organizations and other like-minded stakeholders that share our commitment to improving education and healthcare outcomes worldwide.
How to Collaborate
1
Support Professional Development
Sponsor your students, staff or team members to join our Community of Practice (CoP). This gives them space to connect with peers globally, develop their skills, and stay current on emerging practices.
2
Submit Projects and Cases for Service-Learning
If your team is navigating a specific educational or operational challenge, you can submit it to our Service-Learning Program. These cases are taken up by interdisciplinary teams who develop solutions at no-cost.
3
Nominate Experts for Global Sessions
Nominate subject matter experts or educators from your organization to volunteer as guest speakers in our Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions and skills workshops, for visibility and knowledge exchange.
4
Pilot Educational Resources & Toolkits
When new resources or toolkits are developed by our CoP, partners are invited to test them in their settings, with support. The feedback helps shape the tools before public release and is acknowledged in publications.
5
Collaborate on Research and Grant Initiatives
We welcome opportunities to co-develop research, contribute to regional studies, or partner on grant applications that align with our shared priorities of education and health systems strengthening.
6
Host Regional Learning Activities
Partners can co-host learning sessions, webinars, or workshops—virtually or in-person—with support from our team, for cross-institutional dialogue on local challenges, innovations, and policy shifts.
Partner Spotlight
We’re proud to collaborate with Tanzania Better Health (TBH), a non-governmental organization working to improve the health of women, children, and adolescents in underserved communities through service delivery, training, and advocacy.
Together, we co-designed and piloted the PATHS (Professional Advancement Through Holistic Skills) program, a workforce readiness program that has received applications from 15 countries . PATHS is a flexible program designed to bridge the gap between formal education and workplace/community needs. The program focuses on transferable competencies for career development, including: project management, systems thinking, financial literacy, social entrepreneurship, information, media and digital literacy, and personal wellbeing.
Participants access curated online industry-recognized micro-courses and credentials, and work on pro-bono consultancy cases submitted by TBH and other partners to strengthen their professional portfolio. These practical projects serve as both a learning experience and a mutually-beneficial contribution to education and health organizations.
