Skills Workshops

AMA Sessions

Led by experienced educators, administrators, and industry experts, these hands-on sessions focus on real-world applications. Topics include:

  • Curriculum design and teaching strategies

  • Student support and wellbeing

  • Quality assurance and accreditation

  • Assessment design and feedback 

  • Educational technology and digital tools

  • Interprofessional education and collaboration

 

Workshops are designed with diverse and low-resource contexts in mind. Each session includes activities you can use immediately.

Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions are informal, interactive Q&A sessions where you can:

  • Ask educators and professionals anything—from technical advice to career guidance

  • Share your own perspectives or challenges

  • Learn from open and honest conversations within the community

 

Each AMA features a guest with lived experience in education, leadership, practice, or innovation.

How It Works

  • New sessions are hosted regularly and rotate across time zones for global access

  • All sessions are free for Community of Practice members.

  • You'll receive a monthly calendar of upcoming sessions and access to recordings

  • Join live, catch up later, or revisit quarterly, your participation is always flexible

Be a Speaker or Host

We invite organizations and individuals to: 

  • Facilitate a workshop on a topic you care about

  • Co-host an AMA and bring your own questions or experiences

  • Nominate a mentor, colleague, or community voice we should invite

 

We’ll support with planning and tech setup.

How to Join

When you become a member of the Stetho Steps Community of Practice, you get access to all workshops and AMAs—live and recorded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to attend live to benefit?
No. All sessions are recorded and available on-demand in our learning hub. Watch when it works for you.


Are these sessions only for educators?
Not at all. We welcome students, early-career professionals, administrators, and health practitioners. The sessions are designed to be relevant and practical across roles and experience levels.


Will I receive a certificate for participating?
Yes. You’ll receive a Certificate of Participation for each workshop or series you complete. Some workshops also offer digital badges or micro-credentials when bundled with short assessments or reflections.


Can I suggest or request a topic?
Absolutely! We welcome topic and speaker suggestions from members at any time.


What if I want to lead or co-host a session?
We encourage it! If you have a useful method, tool, or experience to share, you can lead a session. We’ll support you with planning and tech setup.
